Our Mission

Youth Connect CLT (YCC) is a program for Charlotte teens ages 15-18. It was created by Janae-Rose Fageyinbo when she was 16 years old with the intention of connecting teens from different parts of Charlotte. As a teen, she understands that teens are powerful when given the resources to excel. YCC is a space for teens to encourage each other to grow together. We accept students from all backgrounds and support them in becoming aware of their community through civic engagement and aware of themselves through personal

development.

To maximize our programs efficacy and ensure that we include students with a diversity of experiences, YCC partners with Transforming Youth Movement (TYM). They have extensive experience supporting teens in reaching their goals and improving their lives. With their supervision and guidance, YCC is better able to serve participants.
