YCC will have alternating general meetings on Wednesdays and small group meetings on Thursdays. These will be virtual. We will have optional in-person components: a social, two outings, and a final gathering. There will also be an option to attend the book club and career skills session in-person. Muay Thai may start meeting in-person for the second half of YCC, depending on interest. There is a schedule below, and we'll explain the events in detail below that.

In general meetings, the whole group meets to discuss pre-determined topics. We will have short presentations and/or a keynote speaker. Then, we will open the floor to our participants to share their perspectives. Our first general meeting will be after a summit that TYM is hosting. Participants are encouraged to attend at least the final part of it; look at the flyer for more information.
The small groups are fun opportunities to get to know a more intimate group of participants. Our offerings are a book club, Muay Thai, and career skills. Our book club will read a text focused on themes of social justice and connect it to our experiences in CLT. Our Muay Thai course will serve as an introduction to the world of Muay Thai. Career skills will help participants hone their soft skills (communication, teamwork, resume writing, etc.) and consider their career goals. Our focus group leaders are excited to share their passions with you!
Throughout the program, we will work on our service project, which is a fundraiser. TYM currently helps out at The Wall by donating food to those experiencing homelessness. They are in need of tables, so we are going to harness our power to participate in a social media fundraising campaign. Participants will post flyers for our cause and try other fundraising strategies.
Our opening social will be a fun, outdoor opportunity to get acquainted with everybody before the sessions begin. Location and other details TBA.
Note for all in-person events: We are aware that everyone has varying levels of comfort COVID-wise and aim to have fun safely!
